Apple iPad 3 review

Apple iPad 3 review

Well I just broke down and bought a brand new 32GB iPad and have been playing around with it for about a week. The first thing I noticed when i started my new iPad was the retina display which is gorgeous especially when displaying text. Once I got my new iPad 3 I keep comparing it with my older Samsung Galaxy Tab and there are several ways in which the iPad beats the Galaxy Tab, but there are a few things about the Android tablet that I wish I could do on my iPad.  So far I have gotten my music on the iPad and I have about 24 apps downloaded already and all but one are free apps. Even though there are several limitations to using the iPad I am very happy with it so far and can’t wait to find more cool apps and tips.

Apple’s WWDC Get your wallet out

Apple’s WWDC Get your wallet out

Apple is currently holding it’s WWDC which is its World Wide Developers Conference and it showcases Apples new products and technology. Apples keynote which was 2 hours long previewed IOS 6, New Maps, Passbook, and new Game Center. As well as the new and improved Siri which offers a lot more features and hopefully works better than the current Siri. But one of the big announcements was the next generation MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro looks amazing with the new Retina-Display and is available on Apple website right now! But for me the question is does having all these features make spending at least $2,199 for a 15 inch Laptop worth such a hefty price?

App of the Day: Wireless Tether

App of the Day: Wireless Tether

My app of the day today is one that I have used extensively it is called Wireless Tether. This is a very useful app for anyone who wants more control of the wireless tether or hotspot feature on their phone. Your phone must be rooted for this app to work! Sorry for everyone who doesn’t have their phone rooted if you don’t this is one more reason to root your phone.

For everyone that does have a rooted phone this app has some great features so you can control how your wifi is shared. You can use this app to tether to a laptop or tablet either through a wireless ad hoc network or through Bluetooth. With Bluetooth you can even share the connection if the phone is connected to WiFi.

App of the Day: Alarm Clock Xtreme

App of the Day: Alarm Clock Xtreme

[S]ome people might be wondering why review an alarm clock? Well for the people like me who use their phones as an alarm clock the stock Android alarm clock has a lot of missing features. The stock alarm clock is built in with the clock app and there is not much you can do with it especially if you are the type of person to sleep through your alarm or just hit it an go back to sleep.

Alarm Clock Xtreme on the other hand had a ton of features and it has a free version. Alarm Clock Xtreme works on all android devices 2.1 and higher which should be almost all the android phones. With Alarm Clock Xtreme you can choose what sound you want for the alarm including using music you have on the phone and once the alarm goes off you can choose to have the volume start low and get louder and louder. You can customize the snooze and dismiss settings as well. You can choose to have a button on screen or if you are the type of person that will go back to sleep you can choose other options like shake device, or solve math problem. You also have the ability to change the dismiss settings to having to shake device, or enter captcha, place in car dock, or solve math problems. You can even change how long a snooze time is as well as the maximum number of times you can hit the snooze button. Also you can change the the behavior if your on a call or have the phone one silent.

[T]he highly anticipated release of the Samsung Galaxy S 3 is coming soon and has many people excited to get their hands on the new phone. So I decided to run down the phones specs and features as well as talk about why people are excited about this phone. The two predecessors to the Galaxy S3 have changed the way people use their smartphones and raised the expectations that the new Galaxy S3 will be one of the best new smartphones available.
